I attended Sault College of Applied Arts and Technology for Registered Nurse (www.saultcollege.ca). I graduated in 2010 with a BScN. I also have a B.A. in Psychology and a Police Foundations certificate. I have been able to bring my education to all areas of my career as a Registered Nurse. My first employment was Sault Area Hospital(www.sah.sah.on.ca). I have also worked in Long-Term Care, Corrections, Medical, Surgical and Mental Health and Addictions. All areas of nursing have been amazing. I have learned a lot and have taken my new skills to other areas of nursing. My present employment with Extendicare Maple View has been a considerable learning curve in my career. I have learned a lot working as a front line Registered Nurse and now as a Nurse Manager. A few areas of my career I have learned a great deal are a lot about medical diagnosis and how to treat them, communication, leadership, medication, and professionalism.
